What is epilepsy?

Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures. Seizures are episodes of abnormal electrical activity in the brain that can affect consciousness, movement, sensations, and behavior.

Some of the symptoms of epilepsy:

  • Seizures involving sudden movements
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Strange sensations such as changes in perception or lapses of absence.

How can CBD help with epilepsy?

Thanks to the properties of CBD, it has been shown to have positive effects in the treatment of certain types of epilepsy, especially in cases of refractory epilepsy, which do not respond well to other conventional treatments, such as: Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome.
These disorders can be difficult to control with conventional medications, and some studies have found that CBD can reduce seizure frequency in these patients.

How much CBD do I need?

The corresponding CBD dose must be calculated according to weight since it is not the same dose for all people suffering from epilepsy.
